伦敦时尚学院本科生服装作品秀

LCF BA Show

SEBASTIAAN PIETER GROENEN won Collection of the Year at last night's London College of Fashion BA show. The bespoke tailoring student impressed with a series of half-there suits and sporty pieces veiled in sheer draped panels to combine the masculine with the feminine in a pastel palette of green, pink and blue.

But he wasn't the only one to walk away one happy student - Ashleigh Downer scooped the Trimmings Award for her layered and textured skirt-dress hybrids, and Rose Irwin, Diana Auria Harris and Lili Colley collectively won the Fashion Innovation prize. Showing together on the catwalk, the trio's work spanned the disciplines of womenswear, contour and jewellery - the result was bright, sporty and beach-ready.

Bombers were a key trend of the evening - the Ryan Gosling/Drive effect continues, as does the kitsch crazy of Meadham Kirchhoff - and among the other collections to catch our eye were Lucy Adjoa Armah's perforated denim smocks complete with fisherman hats; Stephanie Ghoussain's printed cagoules layered over trousers and, for a good dose of fun, Si Leong Chan's hand creations - jackets hugged by a series of crossed arms all the way down the front or those with long sleeves that broke into claws at the end.
