      照相手機攝影作品展

      來自全球的一些攝影師將在倫敦展示他們用手機抓拍到的一些奇特影像,很多攝影界資深人士對這些作品贊嘆不已。

Photographers from around the world who captured unique images using camera phones will be showcasing their work in a new exhibition in London.

The exhibition will feature images which were submitted to the Street Photographer of the Year competition 2011 run by the Citizen Journalism Educational Trust (CJET).

The trust, backed by The-Latest.Com, which promotes citizen journalism, received applications for the competition from the UK, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Romania, Italy, America and Canada.

From these, judges including photographer Eamonn McCabe, publisher Dr Margaret Busby OBE, chairman of CJET Martin Shaw, and Brian Usher, picture editor of The-Latest.Com, narrowed it down to a shortlist of 12 entries.

Kheoh Yee Wei, from Leeds, was chosen as the winner with his photograph of a street scene in the city. It will be featured in the exhibition at the London College of Communication in Elephant and Castle, London, from March 1 to 15, along with other pictures from the competition.

The 23-year-old electronics and nanotechnology graduate, originally from Malaysia, won a LS-20M camcorder and the Photographer of the Year title.

Time Out magazine's picture editor, Allyce Hibbert, who was one of the five judges, said: "The quality of entries was so good I had difficulty separating them to choose the 12 finalists. It's amazing what can be done with a camera phone."

The competition run by CJET was backed by Time Out and Olympus, which donated the prize worth almost £300.
